Kids love seeing the characters in their books come to life on the tube. Scholastic Books has a whole collection of their classics on DVD, narrated by celebrities. It's an extremely fun way to encourage reading by allowing your toddlers or young children to read-a-long together with these DVDs. You can turn on the captions on the DVD and your child can read it as the narrators tell the story.
