Preschools in NYC

NYC has one of the most competitive preschool/kindergarten systems in the world! It's almost to the brink of insanity. The sad thing is if you really know a lot about education and research some of these schools, they're nothing but simply well-spoken school administrators who know how to sell their school to the elite. However, Nursery University is an awesome documentary that gives you an insight to the preschool admissions process in NYC. I would also recommend two books - Momzillas and The Ivy Chronicles, great + fun reads that are all about the craziness of an admissions circus in NYC!

FUN FACT: NYC's elementary standardized test scores are actually quite average. Massachusetts and Minnesota currently lead the country in these standardized test scores.
